MTA REPAIR HP - Bioceramic based high-plasticity reparative cement.
This new formula maintains all the chemical and biological properties of the original MTA, which guarantees the success of the treatment, but changes its physical properties of manipulation. The result is a product with greater plasticity, facilitating manipulation and insertion in the dental cavity.
Composition
Restorative cement ready for use
MTA REPAIR HP is an endodontic restorative cement with high plasticiy
, composed of mineral oxides in the form of fine hydrophilic particles. It is indicated for cases of root perforation (canal and furcation), iatrogenic or by caries, root perforation by internal resorption, retrofilling, direct pulp capping pulpotomy, apexigenesis and apexification.Advantages over other materials
Low solubility
Recommendation
Benefits
1. What are the main properties of MTA REPAIR HP?
• Chemical:
Bismuth-free - Does not stain the dental structure
Release of Ca ions - Enhances formation of mineralized tissues
High alkalinity- Prevents bacterial growth
Smallest particle size – Faster tissue repair
Hydrofilic - Allows use in a wet environment without losing its properties
Formula with raw material P.A. - Free of contaminants and heavy metals
• Physical:
High plasticity - Better handling and insertion
Single doses - Optimizes the time and the use
Low solubility - can be used directly on the pulp and periapical tissues
Compressive strength: 44.2 MPa - can be used as base material
Expansion through hydration - produces total sealing of the cavities
Set in 15 minutes - Reduced final setting time compared to similar ones
Radiopaque - allows for subsequent X-ray monitoring (proactive observation)
• Biological:
Biocompatibility - can be used directly on living tissues
Neoformation of cementum - the only dental material with this property
Remineralization of dentin - formation of a biological barrier
Biological sealing of perforations - complete healing of the periradicular tissues
2. What is the difference between ANGELUS MTA and MTA REPAIR HP?
The difference is in the replacement of distilled water by a liquid that contains water and another organic plasticizer that gives the product high plasticity.
3. What are the indications for MTA REPAIR HP?
• Treatment of root perforations and furcation
• Sealant for internal resorptions and interior connections
• Retrofilling material for parendodontic surgeries
• Pulp capping material in conservative pulp treatments
• Inducer of apexification and apexigenesis
• Material for intracoronal barrier prior to tooth whitening
• Apical plug
4. How is MTA REPAIR HP applied?
It can be applied with its own instruments for use (Angelus MTA Applicator).
