SDI Wave - A flowable for all your clinical situations
Wave/ MV are ideal versatile, fluoride releasing, radiopaque, light cured flowable composites designed for anterior and posterior restorations. Wave is an extremely low viscosity flowable, Wave MV is a medium viscosity.
Nanofilled
Wave, Wave MV contain specially treated nano-fillers to maximize polishability, wear resistance and strength. Ease of extrusion is improved with the addition of these specially treated nano-fillers.
Radiopacity
Wave, Wave MV are all visible on x-rays. This allows easy identification of secondary caries at the interface.
Fluoride release
Fluoride’s cariostatic effect enhances remineralization and inhibits enamel demineralization. In an aqueous environment, the fluoride ions in Wave, Wave MV diffuse from the resin into the surrounding tooth. This ionic movement is caused by oral fluid passing in and out of the resin and tooth, acting as a carrier for the fluoride ions.
Compressive strength
Wave’s, Wave MV’s high compressive strength values expand the suitability for multiple applications.
Filler loading
Filler loading upto 62%
Natural fluorescence
Wave, Wave MV contain a fluorescent agent that ensures perfectly natural looking teeth under ultraviolet lights.
A choice of 2 viscosities
The wide number of viscosities available in the Wave range ensures the clinician has a choice for all different clinical conditions.Wave is an extremely low viscosity flowable, Wave MV is a medium viscosity.
Tip length comparison
Wave’s complete tip length is 12.2mm, 40% longer than the alternative of 8.7mm. Wave’s longer tip length allows more direct placement of the material into difficult to reach areas.
UDMA
Wave’s UDMA resin system minimizes shrinkage and reduces post operative sensitivity.
What is the choice of viscosities in SDI Wave?
It comes in two viscosities depending upon the clinician’s choice and clinical conditions Wave is an extremely low viscosity flowable and Wave MV is a medium viscosity.
Advantages of using flowable over packable composites?
It comes in three viscosities options, versatile for various dental procedures, high release of fluorides, and SDI wave available in 14 different shades to choose from.
How about the material placement in deep areas?
SDI Wave tip length is 12.2mm, 40% longer than the conventional tip of 8.7mm for better placement in far distant areas.
What is the importance of natural fluorescence in wave composites?
Natural fluorescence ensures perfectly looking natural tooth under ultraviolet light.
What are the indications of SDI Wave?
Minimal class I, II, III, IV, Class V, implant seals, pit & fissure sealants, minor core build-ups, temporary crowns and a lot more.
