SS White Carbide - Trimming & Finishing Burs:
Powerful Cutting Performance for Faster, More Beautiful Finishes and Polishes
MAXIMUM STRENGTH & DURABILITY
Proper selection of tungsten carbide and high quality steel combined with a specialized heat treatment process and controlled welding operation creates the optimum conditions required to attain the impressive strength and durability of an SS White bur. A study conducted at the University of Maryland confirms that SS White 557 burs are 84.67% stronger than Midwest Standard 557 Burs.*
Carefully designed blade structure, rake angle, flute depth and spiral angulation combined with our specially formulated tungsten carbide results in the powerful cutting performance of SS White burs. SS White burs are engineered to deliver the most efficient cutting rate & performance for the most popular procedures.
SS White solid carbide burs are made with high quality fine-grain tungsten carbide, which produces a blade that is sharper and wears longer compared to less expensive coarse grain tungsten carbide.
For shank construction, SS White uses surgical grade stainless steel, which resists corrosion during sterilization processes used in the dental office.
Blades made of fine grain tungsten carbide, retain shape even as they wear. Less expensive, large particle tungsten carbide dulls quickly as the large particles break from the blade or cutting edge.
SS White Burs delivers minimal vibration when subjected to the rotational speeds of the dental hand-piece and maximizes performance and procedural comfort for you and your patient. SS White burs are engineered to deliver the most efficient cutting rate and performance for the most popular procedures.
Consistent Quality
SS White® is ISO 13485, EN46001 and CE Mark Certified which means an SS White® bur is manufactured to the highest quality standards. SS White® reflects the importance of manufacturing to the highest standard of quality in its Quality Policy which states:
Total commitment to ISO 13485, MDD 93/42 EEC –Annex II and Total Quality Manufacturing Provide customers with the highest valued products and services pursue continuous improvement Focus on customer needs.
You can depend on the consistent quality of a SS White® bur… in all ways, always.
Q. What is the difference between 10-blade safe end and 20-blade safe end burs?
A. 10-blade Safe End or 12-blade finishing burs efficiently trim and contour composites, Whereas 20-blade Safe End or 20-blade Finishing burs create ultra-smooth, pre-polish composites.
Q. What are the unique features of SSW carbide trimming and finishing burs?
A. The unique spiral design allows blades to continually remain in contact with the cutting surface, resulting in a smoother and more aesthetically pleasing surface with less vibration. Carbide burs should be used to trim and finish hybrid composites.
Q. What is the lifespan of these End-cut burs?
A. With proper care and maintenance, these burs can have longer lifespans, providing a reliable cutting experience.
Q. What is the importance of CFT Burs?
A. The SS White CFT (composite, finishing, and trimming) burs are ideal for the contouring and finishing of restorative materials subgingivally, ca surface margins, and facial surfaces. The straight bur helps to avoid concavity when finishing composites
