Condensation Silicones (polydimethylsiloxanes), also known as conventional silicones are hydrophobic and have high polymerization shrinkage. They are the preferred choice of dentists for their accuracy. They are economical to use.
Condensation silicon is the first silicon material ever used in dentistry. It is commonly used to get impressions in the preparation of crowns, bridges, onlays, and inlays. In some cases, it's used for an impression in the process of preparation for complete dentures
Dentasil Condensation-silicone Impression material comprises of:
Dentasil-Silicone based condensation Type elastomeric impression material (Putty)
Dentawash-Low Viscosity Silicone-Based Condensation Type elastomeric Precision Impression material
Dentacat- Activator Paste for Condensation Type Silicone

Q. What is the indication of Dentawash?
A. It is a low viscosity, extremely fluid, hydrocompatible, polysiloxane mainly recommended for the two-stage technique (double impression).
Q. What are the technical specifications of Dentasil?
A. Type of setting is normal set; working time is 1:00min, setting time 4:15min.
Q. How long can the impressions made with Dentasil be cast without any issues?
A. Impressions made with Dentasil can be cast for up to 4 - 5 days without any problem due to its low shrinkage and dimensional stability.
