The Bioclear Veneering Matrix is 75 μm and is as strong as stainless steel . It comes in kit with a paired 2-part (mesial and distal) matrix that snaps around anterior teeth to allow easier reconstruction of teeth when no diastemas or large black triangles are present.
Heated composite is injected into the forms once the tooth has been prepared. Preparation of the tooth involves removal of biofilm, lightly sanding the contacts with True Contact sanders, and removing any decay and/or old restorative material. The Bioclear 360° Veneer comes as a 6 tooth kit with 12 matrices that are specially designed to create a 2 part form around the tooth by using both mesial and distal abutting matrices.
This form creates a mold around the tooth, sealing the gingival margins and enabling heated composite resin to completely envelop the tooth with an impressively durable, solid, pearlescent shell of composite. That monolithic, solid shell with the Mylar finish eliminates all of the inherent weaknesses of hand layered, free form, or indirect, putty matrix techniques of the past
