Q. Can I eat and drink normally from where the temporary filling is filled?

A. Yes, one can eat and drink normally with a temporary restoration, but avoid eating hard, sticky or extremely cold or hot from that side. It’s better to eat softer food to prevent dislodgment.

Q. How long does the temporary filling last?

A. It varies from the type of cement used. Avue temp provides the best solution as it lasts from a few days to weeks depending upon the patient’s oral hygiene. This filling material is not designed for long-term restorations, hence advised to get it replaced with permanent restoration.

Q. How long does Avue Temp takes to harden?

A. It usually takes a few minutes to get it to harden when it comes in contact with oral fluid but requires at least 2-3 hrs for the complete set.

Q. How to use Avue Temp?

A. An appropriate amount of material should be taken depending on the size of the prepared cavity and gently press with the instruments and allow the patient to bite properly so that excess cement will be removed.

Q. When can we use Temporary cement?

A. it can be used in various procedures like

·       Interim restoration between root canal procedure

·       Waiting for the permanent restoration, it can be used in between

·Temporarily fixation of crowns or bridges.
